Pleasant Hill is located in the central part of Contra Costa County alongside Interstate 680, is primarily a bedroom community, the City has a mix of new developments and older neighborhoods. Pleasant Hill is especially proud to be the home of the county’s main central library as well as the home to Diablo Valley College, one of the leading California community colleges.
